Happy Halloween! Some costume inspiration for those in need of a quick costume!
I threw these cat and mouse costumes together using my makeup, clothing, and a quick trip to forever21 and the craft store.
Using the gel eyeliner I created dramatic cat eyes, a nose, whiskers, and even the lips. I added false lashes and some glitter to my eyes and viola- costume finished.
On a side note through an entire night of dancing, drinking, and general debauchery my makeup stayed put. Bobbi brown gel eyeliner isn’t budging from your face!
To make the mouse ears take a piece of grey felt and fold it in half. Using a small cup, outline two circles on the end of the felt where you have folded over (not the open end). Cut the circles out, you should have 2 pieces of felt that look like wheels. Cut a pipe cleaner in half. Wrap your pipe cleaner around and attach it to itself to create a circle. Fold your ear in half. Place the pipe cleaner circle inside and glue the two pieces of felt together over the pipe cleaner. There should be an open space in the bottom about the size of a large straw where the two pieces of fabric come together. Once the fabric glue dries take another pipe cleaner and wire it through the open hole in the ears. I secured mine to the pipe cleaner inside the ears to insure the ears stayed standing upright. Place the ears on the head, position, and secure with bobbi pins. For the makeup I mixed a crème white eye shadow and gel eyeliner to create a grey base for the face. Then created the nose with a crème blush. The rest was done using eyeliners! Voila costume complete!
